NXIVM Vision
(continued)
That is why we have positioned ourselves as activists of humanitarian ethics-we actively seek to advance ethics in the world.
But what are ethics? Ethics are a system of moral principles or values. "Ethics," according to the American Heritage Dictionary, are "the rules or standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession." Humanitarian ethics, in our understanding, is a consistent code of conduct, a consistent system of thinking that advances the welfare of the human race. We consider that, unless a set of consistent and universal principles exists in which all humans can participate, human civilization may not be able to transcend its destructive patterns and achieve a nobler existence.
